We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data.
Solka-AI Learning (“Solka”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
Account Information
When you create an account, we may collect your email address and authentication information.
User Content
When you use Solka, you may upload or enter study materials such as text, notes, course content, images, audio, or other learning content. This content may be processed to generate flashcards, quizzes, summaries, or other study tools.
Usage Information
We may collect information about how you use the app, such as features used, study activity, progress, streaks, performance statistics, and app interactions.
Purchase Information
If you purchase a subscription, payment and subscription processing is handled by Apple and RevenueCat. We do not store your full payment card information.
Technical Information
We may collect device and technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and diagnostic data.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create and manage your account
- provide AI-generated flashcards, quizzes, and study tools
- save your study progress and learning history
- improve app performance and user experience
- manage subscriptions and premium access
- provide customer support
- detect bugs, crashes, or technical issues
- comply with legal obligations
3. AI Processing
Solka may use third-party AI providers to process user content and generate flashcards, quizzes, summaries, or other learning materials. User content submitted for AI generation may be sent to these providers only for the purpose of providing the requested app features.
You should avoid uploading highly sensitive personal information into the app.
4. Third-Party Services
Solka may use third-party services, including:
- Supabase, for authentication, database hosting, file storage, and server-side app logic
- RevenueCat, for subscription and entitlement management
- Apple, for App Store purchases and subscription processing
- Google Gemini and OpenAI, for AI-generated study content and audio transcription
- Google AdMob, for the rewarded video ads described in section 5
- Expo, for app builds, over-the-air updates, and diagnostic data
These services may process data according to their own privacy policies.
5. Advertising
Google AdMob is the only advertising network used in Solka. It serves a single ad format: rewarded video. Rewarded ads are always started by you — either from the “watch an ad” quest, or from the ad shown before an AI generation on a free account — and watching one earns in-app coins. Solka never displays banners, never displays interstitials, and never shows an ad on its own initiative. Subscribers are never required to watch an ad in order to use a feature.
Users under 13. No ad is ever requested or displayed to a user who has declared an age under 13. The same applies when we do not know your age: if no age was provided, advertising stays off.
Users under 18. Advertising is restricted to non-personalized ads, meaning ads are not selected using your interests or profile. Ad content is also capped at a PG rating, which excludes alcohol, gambling, and suggestive content for every user of the app.
Consent. Before the first ad, we show Google’s UMP consent form (the GDPR/CMP form required in the European Economic Area) together with our own in-app question about sharing data for advertising. On iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown only when a personalized ad would actually be possible — that is, for adult users who have accepted data sharing. It is never shown to minors, because they only ever receive non-personalized ads. Declining any of these prompts does not lock any feature and does not remove any reward: ads simply become non-personalized.
To serve and measure ads, AdMob may process device and advertising identifiers and similar technical data. You can read how Google uses this data at support.google.com/admob/answer/6223431.
6. Hosting and Data Processors
Supabase hosts the Solka backend and acts as our data processor. It provides account authentication, the PostgreSQL database that stores your account and study data, file storage for the documents and images you upload, and the Edge Functions that run our server-side logic. Your account data and user content are stored on Supabase infrastructure.
Google Gemini and OpenAI are the AI providers used to generate flashcards, quizzes, and summaries, and to transcribe audio recordings. Content is sent to them only at the moment you explicitly request a generation or a transcription — never in the background, and never for advertising purposes. It is sent solely to return the result you asked for.
These providers process data according to their own privacy policies.
7. Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable measures to protect user information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Data Retention
We keep user information only as long as necessary to provide the app, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
User-generated study content may be stored to allow users to access their flashcards, quizzes, and study history.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- access your personal data
- correct inaccurate data
- request deletion of your data
- withdraw consent where applicable
- object to certain processing
- request data portability
To exercise these rights, contact us at: solkaapp@outlook.com
10. Account and Data Deletion

You may also request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at: solkaapp@outlook.com
We will process deletion requests in accordance with applicable laws.
11. Children’s Privacy
Solka is intended for students and general educational use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age required by applicable law without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided us personal information without proper consent, please contact us.
12. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. Where required, we take appropriate safeguards to protect your information.
